MATT ELLIOTT
It's been awhile..
I'm a slacker and haven't updated in awhile, so here's what went down this winter after Cham. February was spent shredding the hill and sledding around Whis shooting some pics with Andrew Bradley. A short road trip to Golden with Daryl treadway and the rest of the Rossi team to compete in Wrangle the Chute. Great event, and Rossignol hooked us up with a nice pad for the team to stay at and get to know each other. Darl Killed it and should have won but got second. Filip Hudec turned some heads with some sic lines and showed people that he is for real. Watch out for this kid in the future.

In March Daryl and I went to K3 catskiing with photograher Brian Ralph. K3 is located just outside of Sicamous BC. A great little operation with some really cool guides and sweet terrain. Unfortunately the avy conditions were not the greatest so we were cliff hunting. But we found some good ones. Raplhie got some sweet shots that you will hopefully see this winter in the mags.

After that I went to TLH with Dendrite Studios and he Epic Planks team for a week of leisure in the lodge and shredding hard via the heli. Wow what a place! We bagged some sic lines and tons of pow. The footage will be used in Dendrites next film along with a short edit coming out this fall.

The rest of the season was spent at home in Whistler sledding, touring, and skiing the hill. Lots of sic shots were taken and some redemtion was had on a few cliffs that hard my number in years past. Paul Morrison took one the best shots of me to date that I'm sure will get published this winter in some mag.

Thats aboot all.
Chamonix 2011
I recently went to France (mid Jan) with Photographer Andrew Bradley and friend Travis Kayes to explore what the french alps had to give us.
We showed up and people said it sucked and hadnt snowed since Dec 10th. Well we brought the snow with us I guess. It snowd 20cms the first day and 20cms the next and we were shredding pow half way across the world 24 hrs after leaving Whis. We shredded Grands Montet/Brevant/Aguille du Midi ( Vallee Blanche) and Courmayeur Italy. So sic !

Check out the edit from the trip

End of 2010
So long to another year and bring in the new one with lots of fresh pow and a trip to Europe. sounds good to me.. Leaving for Chamonix tomorrow and will be back in a few weeks. Hopefully with a bunch of banger shots, and tons of good stories.

I've been screwing around with my Contour hd head cam and made a little edit of TK and I shreddin some pow. Check it out!

It's on!
Well it was a long summer, but it's looking like winter around here again.
The mountain is pretty sweet right now. Early season Peak laps with your friends are the best. Your have to hike for your turns but getting Whistler Bowl/ Shale Slope laps that are untouched are so worth it.Even R.T. is hikin that shit.
I've been taking some head cam footage with my new Contour1080p cam. Just trying to figure out the editing and stuff so hopefilly I'll have some cool little vids pumping out this year.
Go get some turns!!
STOKED!
It's cold out and there's snow on the peaks!

One more month and we're shredding.
Dendrite Knight
So just a few things to update you on.

I have been added to the YOKI team. YOKI is small rider driven company from Sweden that makes touques and damn good ones.
YOKI stands for Youngsters Of Knights Institute. A good against evil sort of thing. Check out the full deal at www.yoki.se.

You will see some of YOKI's touques in the new Dendritestudios.com film dropping this fall. The teaser is out and it's sic!! Athan and Nic have done a killer job of creating a top of the line HD ski vid with not much cash , but vast amounts of unique ideas and quality shots that are sure to blow your teeth out when you watch it!

Spring Time!
Well it seems that the best part (powder) of the winter is over. This season was sic. Tons of good days in, lots of good shots, and filming with Dendrite to boot.

The biking season has already begun for me. I am currently down i nthe city going to school for 6 weeks and the trails are in prime condition here.

End of 09
End of another year and the start of another decade. Where were you 99/00 New Years Eve?

I remember (slighty) a street party on 2nd ave in Fernie, 3 houses goin off with music, people everywhere,Quinton going nuts, and it was pretty much the best party ever.

I also remember skiing on 1080's and thinking they were the shit. wow what a difference 10 years makes.. 1080's suck (but were the gateway to bigger and better things) and a quiet party with close friends seems like the most appealing thing to do on new years eve.

What ever you're doing play safe and have fun!

09/10 season
The 09/10 season has started off as pretty much the deepest snow I can remember ever skiing in November.
This record breakin month has set our mountain up with a killer base.
Can't wait for more!
